After hearing on the news that folks in Atlanta were abandoning pets because they could no longer afford pet food, Ann King, the owner of Blooming Cookies/Paws Fifth Avenue Pet Gifts was motivated to help, and rallied the Atlanta pet community, uniting shelters, rescues, and pet businesses to join in the cause to help needy pets and people.

Food Bank

Donation Details:
Pet food will be collected and donated through Fulton Animal Services as well as over 20 pet stores/facilities in the Atlanta area, including City Dog Market in Brookhaven, Highland Pet Supply in Virginia Highlands, Piedmont Bark and a growing list of other locations. Pet food collection bins, designed with a happy dogs face, will be in each store to encourage donations of pet food or treats at each of these locations.
Pickup/Delivery Details:

The free pet food will be distributed at the P.A.L.S. location at 2115 Liddell Drive NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30324. Information about the Fulton Animal Services SNAP Program which provides free spay/neuter at Lifeline Animal Project will also be available. Pick up of the food will be made available once a month except under special circumstances. This will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of the first week of each month. For those with special needs or those that cannot come pick up, and need the food delivered will have the food delivered by volunteers the 2nd Saturday of every month. Food will also be available for free for pets with special diets.
