“Don’t Lose Your Pet” Microchip Clinic at Inman Park Pet Works

Atlanta, GA – September 23, 2006. AARF (Atlanta Animal Rescue Friends) is once again hosting a low-cost micro-chipping clinic at Inman Park Pet Works. This event will be held on Saturday, October 7 from 11:00 to 2:00. This simple procedure is performed by a licensed veterinarian and the cost is $35, including registration of the chip. Proceeds benefit AARF’s rescue fund.

Don't Lose Your Pet! Every two seconds a family pet is lost. This is an especially vulnerable time of the year for your pets. Children are back to school…and their beloved dog wants to find them. All the comings and goings provide opportunities for escape from their safe home and yard. Halloween is almost here and the commotion on the street is either frightening or tempting. All these scary scenarios, and more, can and do happen. So, don’t lose your pet. With this simple microchip, he literally can’t leave home without his identification.

Lost pets are routinely scanned for microchips by most shelters and veterinarian hospitals. When the scanner detects the chip number, the call a 24-hour hotline. After a quick search of the database, you, your veterinarian, or your alternate is contacted, and your pet comes home!
