AARF Microchip Clinic at Inman Park Pet
Works
Atlanta, GA – July
15, 2006.
AARF
(Atlanta Animal Rescue Friends) is hosting a
low-cost micro-chipping clinic on Saturday,
August 5 from 11:00 to 2:00 at Inman Park
Pet Works. The procedure cost is $35,
including registration of the chip, and
performed by a licensed veterinarian.
Proceeds will benefit AARF’s rescue fund.
Don't Lose Your Pet!
Every two seconds a family pet is lost. The
wind blows your gate open, the kids open the
door and your pet scampers outside, your
puppy pulls out of his new collar and darts
out of your grasp. All these scary
scenarios, and more, can and do happen
everyday. With this simple chip, your pet
can’t leave home without his identification.
When your lost pet is found by a
participating shelter, they will check for a
microchip with a special scanner. When the
shelter finds the chip number, they call a
24-hour hotline. After a quick search of the
database, you, your veterinarian, or your
alternate is contacted, and your pet comes
home!

About AARF
(Atlanta Animal Rescue Friends, Inc.)
AARF was founded in 2002 and is a 501(c)(3)
non-profit animal rescue organization
licensed by the state of Georgia that works
to assist abandoned, abused and stray
animals in finding new, loving homes. AARF
works with all breeds of dogs and cats. They
use a network of foster care providers to
house the rescued animals, provide them
complete medical care, (including spaying or
neutering), and then place them into loving
permanent homes. If you are unable to open
your home to foster any of these wonderful
pets, you can participate in their virtual
pet parent program, Fairy PetParents. For
$25 a month, become a sponsor of a pet
waiting for adoption. You’ll receive a
sponsorship package that includes a photo of
your fairy pet-child and be listed on the
AARF Web site and newsletter.
AARF is run solely on adoption fees, private
donations and charitable grants without
government support. We are a 501(c)(3)
non-profit animal rescue organization
licensed by the state of Georgia and all
donations are tax-deductible.
